The retreat that is being offered is NEW and has been created to appeal to students in grades 5-12.  As a new organization, Anastasis (“resurrection”) has compiled an exhibit of tactile replicas and innovative technology to engage young learners. No retreat has ever been offered that focused specifically on the message of the Shroud, with a unique audience of purely school-aged students.  As such, the talk is completely different and we will be taking on a CSI type, investigative adventure, to explain the mysteries of the Shroud.  This is not like anything that has been done before.

HOW LONG IS IT FROM START TO FINISH ?

Here is the plan: By 10:00 AM, arrive at the church and make your way to sit in the pews (please don’t be late as we like to run on time). Next, listen to a 50 minute discussion on the Shroud of Turin. After, we allow the students to interact with the amazing & immersive exhibit for about 30 minutes. Students will then be given a Shroud based items and invited to join in a 10-15 minute session of Adoration & Benediction.  Depending on your schools schedule, aim to be leaving the church shortly after 11:45 AM.

IS IT A GOOD FIT FOR MY STUDENTS ? WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT TO WALK AWAY WITH FOR MY STUDENTS?

Inspired students & support in your class curriculum. We aim to inspire the hearts and minds of your students.  We will do this by weaving together the story of faith & science and show each child how God is calling them into a deeper relationship with Him. In addition to the hope of inspired minds, we will be giving each student a small gift bag that we believe will further strengthen their knowledge and serve to evangelize a broader community. And finally, we bring to you the offer of supportive classroom materials as we have workbooks and prayer posters that will help to make an impact to your classroom.

Our goal is to keep the “Shroud conversation” going.
